Buying Ducati 696 As A First Bike, Need Some Help! 10 Pts!?

A Ducati 696 is a way too light and powerful bike to begin on. (A 696 is 355lb with a 696cc engine) My advice would be to start off on a GSX-R600 (359 lbs/599cc), or a Yamaha R6 (417 lb/599cc). But BEWARE: These bikes are also powerful, but they are not quite as powerful as a 696. If you take your time on the bikes I listed, and don't do anything stupid, then you'll do great. Don't start off on a 250cc engine because you'll end up wanting to sell it a year or two after you get it because you are comfortable on a bike, and it's no longer powerful enough. Remember, you want this to be your FIRST bike, and not your LAST.
